Abstract

Pronunciation error is an error in pronunciation. This research aims to determine the pronunciation errors spoken by the characters in Putri Sedepa by 5th semester students at the Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. The type of research used in this research is descriptive research. The instruments used are observation sheets and documentation. The subjects of this research were 6 characters in the drama Putri Sedepa. The results of this study show that there are 16 errors in pronunciation errors. The character Putri Sedepa, one of the main characters in the drama performance entitled "Putri Sedepa" makes 3 mistakes in pronunciation errors. Prince Sakti, the other main actor in the drama performance entitled "Putri Sedepa" made 8 mistakes in pronunciation errors. Ki Gonjong, mispronounced 2 words in pronunciation error. Ki Pitak, mispronounced 2 pronunciation errors. And Ki Butet, mispronounced 1 pronunciation error. This research shows that the pronunciation that is most often mispronounced is the word "great".
