Abstract
This study aims to determine the socio-economic impact of Cukoh Beach tourism on the community of Bandar Bintuhan Village, Kaur District. The researcher used a qualitative research method with a case study approach, where research informants were determined through purposive techniques. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The study employed triangulation with multiple sources, followed by data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The results were analyzed using Robert K. Merton's Structural Functionalism Theory regarding manifest and latent functions. The study showed that there are both manifest and latent functions of Cukoh Beach tourism on the community. The manifest functions include: increased social interaction and cooperation among the community, changes in community mindset, increased knowledge and insight of the community, increased family income, and the creation of job opportunities for the community. The latent functions include: neglected functions and roles experienced by merchant families, lack of parental attention to children, increasing household needs, and visitors having limited freedom to purchase products sold by merchants due to inflated prices.
