Abstract
Pemberian pakan kucing secara manual sering mengalami kendala akibat kesibukan pemilik sehingga jadwal pemberian pakan menjadi tidak teratur dan porsi yang diberikan kurang tepat, yang dapat memengaruhi kebutuhan nutrisi dan kesehatan kucing. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem pemberian pakan kucing otomatis berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) menggunakan mikrokontroler ESP32 yang mampu memberikan pakan sesuai jadwal dan target porsi serta dapat dipantau melalui aplikasi Blynk. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode prototyping yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pembuatan prototipe, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Sistem terdiri atas ESP32, sensor Load Cell, modul HX711, motor servo SG90, LCD 16×2, dan aplikasi Blynk. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu memberikan pakan secara otomatis berdasarkan jadwal yang disinkronkan menggunakan Network Time Protocol (NTP). Sensor Load Cell mampu mengukur berat pakan secara real-time sehingga porsi yang dikeluarkan sesuai target dengan selisih pengukuran berkisar antara 0 hingga ±1 gram dan masih berada dalam batas toleransi. Selain itu, sistem mampu menangani kondisi pakan macet, mencegah kelebihan pakan, serta menyediakan fitur kontrol manual dan pemantauan jarak jauh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sistem yang dikembangkan berfungsi dengan baik dan mampu membantu pemilik memberikan pakan secara lebih teratur, akurat, dan efisien. Manual cat feeding often encounters problems due to the owner's busy schedule, resulting in irregular feeding times and inaccurate food portions that may affect the nutritional needs and health of cats. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based automatic cat feeding system using an ESP32 microcontroller capable of dispensing food according to predetermined schedules and portion targets while allowing monitoring through the Blynk application. This research employed the prototyping method, which included requirement analysis, system design, prototype development, testing, and evaluation. The proposed system consists of an ESP32 microcontroller, a Load Cell sensor, an HX711 module, an SG90 servo motor, a 16×2 LCD, and the Blynk application. The testing results showed that the system successfully dispensed cat food automatically based on schedules synchronized using the Network Time Protocol (NTP). The Load Cell sensor measured food weight in real time, enabling the system to maintain the desired food portion with measurement deviations ranging from 0 to ±1 gram, which remained within the acceptable tolerance limit. In addition, the system handled feed blockage, prevented excessive food dispensing, and provided manual control and remote monitoring features. Therefore, the developed IoT-based automatic cat feeding system functions effectively and assists pet owners in providing cat food more regularly, accurately, and efficiently.
