Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of the Discovery Learning model based on short video media through the TikTok application on critical thinking skills and digital literacy. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class, which received instruction using Discovery Learning with Tik Tok-based videos, and the control class, which received conventional instruction. The instruments included an essay test to measure critical thinking skills and a questionnaire to assess digital literacy. Data analysis using the t-test indicated significant differences between the experimental and control classes, with a p-value of 0.003 0.05 for critical thinking skills and a p-value of 0.02 < 0.05 for digital literacy. The N-Gain test in the experimental class showed that the application of the Discovery Learning model based on short video media through Tik Tok was effective in improving students' critical thinking skills and digital literacy.
